Advanced Digital Photography Techniques

Bring your camera and instruction manual to this two-hour class designed for amateur photographers who are already comfortable with their digital cameras, but want to learn more about how their camera functions, and how to set the camera for optimum results in specific situations like sports, low light, close-ups and more.

Digital Dilemma - What To Do With Digital Pictures?
You have a digital camera filled with pictures.  Now what?  Learn how to save and archive your digital photos, printing options, basic photo editing, the Internet and digital photos, and use of photos in multi-media.

Brush Strokes
Discover the techniques of watercolor painting, and become familiar with the necessary tools.  Learn dry brush, wet on wet and dry on wet.  Create a still life of flowers, fruits, vegetables or photos.  No talent or prior art experience is required, only a desire to learn and play.  Supply list at first class; students responsible for their own supplies (approx. $20).

Woodcarving:  The Human Face
Age 18+
Did you know that there are 34 reference points needed for the conceptual carving of the human face?  Receive a brochure with detailed illustrations of the 34 noted reference points.  A wood blank will be provided and instruction will proceed in the balanced carving of a head.  Beginner and intermediate carvers will be taught all techniques necessary to complete this project, including knife safety and methods for keeping carving tools sharp.

Woodcarving:  Santa Klaus
Age 18+
Surprise a loved one this Christmas with a hand-carved Santa to adorn their mantel.  Beginners and intermediate carvers will be taught all of the techniques necessary to complete the figure, including knife safety and methods to keep your carving tools sharp.

Woodcarving:  Painting Techniques
Age 18+
Learn techniques to finish your woodcarving projects using acrylic paints, including sealing the wood, selecting brushes, mixing colors, dry brushing and applying antique finishes.
