We sell tickets May 5 - August 29, 2008 (8:15am - 4:45pm)
Each summer, the Wauwatosa Recreation Department, in conjunction with Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association, offers special attraction tickets at a discounted rate.  Tickets for area attractions will become available in mid-May.

Weekend Picnic Kits ('Tosa residents only)
Weekend Picnic Kits are available for rental from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.  Reserve kits in person at the Recreation Department office at least one week prior to the rental date.

Wauwatosa's Independence Day Celebration 


Everyone is invited to join in Wauwatosa's July 4th festivities!

Afternoon activities will include family games.  Judging of decorated bikes, buggies, wagons, etc.   Ice cream will be distributed to participants.

Become a Gardening Angel

Adopt-A-Bed Program
(City of Wauwatosa perennial & shrub beds)

Make a contribution of time and/or talent and become part of the Wauwatosa Beautification Committee's 2008 Gardening Angel Program.  Gardening Angels undertake the regular maintenance of WBC's many perennial and shrub beds.  It's a terrific opportunity to make friends, learn more about plants, have fun, garden and beautify Wauwatosa!  Call Marge at (414)807-5652 to volunteer.


Children's Theatre of Wauwatosa
Wauwatosa Children's Theatre will offer its 72nd continuous year in 2007 - 2008, presenting completely new and exciting set of excellent live theatre programs.  Once again, they will be thoughtfully and carefully selected to give your children a wide variety of fairy tales, classics, legends, fantasy, and adventure.
Season Ticket:  $18.00 (6 programs - Purchase tickets in advance at the Recreation Department.)
Single Admission:  $4.00 (Must be purchased at box office)
"EAST" performances are at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Avenue.
"WEST" performances are at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 West Center Street.

All performances begin at 2:00 p.m.  Box office opens at 1:30p.m.

Wauwatosa Community Band
The Wauwatosa Community Band, a 40-50 piece concert band, is open to anyone who plays an instrument and reads music.  Tosa Jazz, a 15-20 piece swing band, is made up of musicians selected from the Concert Band.  Both bands rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Longfellow Middle School band room.  Concert Band rehearses from 7:00 - 8:30pm, followed by Tosa Jazz from 8:30 - 9:45pm.
Concert Band performs two or three full concerts a year in local school auditoriums.  Tosa Jazz performs throughout the year at area malls and retirement homes.
No audition is required.  Dues are established by band committee each year and are generally $50 for the year (Sept.-May).

Alumni Holiday Basketball Tournament
This basketball tournament, featuring graduates of East and West High Schools, is held during the Christmas holidays.  Two divisions of competition are conducted:  The Greenwill Division for the older teams,  and the Cartier Division for the younger teams.  Registration forms are sent out late in November.  Friends, family and relatives are welcome to come and cheer on their favorites!
