Computers
(Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
Whether you are 52, 62, or 92, you can still learn and enjoy technology.
Gain skills with limited hand/finger mobility. Learn at a slow pace how to
turn computers on/off (without unplugging them!), what a mouse is and how to use
it, differences between a keyboard and typewriter, and basic maneuvers in
Windows 98.
Intermediate Computers
(Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
A continuation of Beginning Computers for Seniors
If you fell good about your computer skills after the beginner class, try
this! Learn how to create and manage your files in word processing and
accessory programs, including basic design of letters, flyers and
objects.
Prerequisite: Beginning Computers or equivalent
Excel 1 and Excel 2
Excel 1 is an introduction to spreadsheets. Create an easy address
list and budget and learn how to manipulate the info using skills you
already have (and learn some new ones!). In Excel 2, you'll learn
about functions, linking and embedding data, and transfer data from one
spreadsheet to another.
Special Issues 1 & 2
Is your computer giving you problems? Bring your issues to this class
where we will learn the solutions together! Bring new questions to
Special Issues 2. Intro
to the Internet
(Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
Using Internet Explorer, learn general
internet concepts, types of internet connections and service providers,
browse the World Wide Web and set up email.
Previous experience: Beginning Computers (or equivalent) Internet

(Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
A continuation of Intro to the Internet,
develop an email address book, use researching techniques and send email
attachments.
