Little Imaginations
Your child has the opportunity to explore stories, art, sensory activities and small manipulative toys in this child-directed class.  You and your child will take part in an interactive story time, then enjoy free art (no completed projects, just fun), puzzles, books, sand, and small activities to work hand-eye coordination.  The best part:  your child decides what he/she will work n each week, enjoying some of all of the activities?  All supplies are included, but please dress appropriately . .  art is messy!  For more info, contact Sara (Music Maker & More) at 262-366-0665.

Pee Wee Picassos
Ages 2 - 5
Popsicle Sticks and Puppy Dog Tails. . . that's what this art class is made of!  In this preschool arts and crafts class designed especially for parent and tott, everyone will have fun and get messy.  Parents and children will work together to create projects in this hands-on environment.  No previous experience necessary .  All materials are provided.  Bring aprons for both parent and child.  Let's get busy!

Music Maker and More
This fun, sing-along musical activity is designed for children and their parents.  Enjoy traditional children's songs, finger plays, instruments, dance movements, and puppetry that tells stories within songs!  Give kids an interest in, and love of, all kinds of music!  
Class ages are recommendations, not restrictions.  Families with multiple children are welcome to enroll all children in one class, if desired.

  • Music Minors
    8 mos. - 3 yrs.
    Experience rhythm and joys of music from the comfort of the parent's lap.
  • Family Band
    Age 1 - 4
    Creative movement strengthens coordination and imagination.  Music, learning activities and social skills.

Cooperative Games and Action Songs
Ages 3 - 5
Playing games and singing songs are great ways to learn.  Enjoy active cooperative games that encourage participation, creativity and personal expression.  The adult partner will help interpret the rules for each game so that more time is spent playing the games and having fun!  Learn skills such as listening to others, taking turns and supporting teammates.

Mad Science Preschool Camps
Ages 3 - up (must be toilet trained.)  Parents may choose to stay for class.  Each week, participate in hands-on activities that follow a theme.  Make cool projects to take home.

Parent/Tot Movement NEW!
Age 16 - 24 mos.
Children and their adult partners will use imagination through guided discovery of basic motor skills.  This will include balancing, large muscle movements and creative playing.  One parent per child.

Parent/Tot Tumbling
Age 18 - 36 mos.
A fun class for a parent and child to build a growing relationship through the learning of basic motor skills, coordination and tumbling.

Kidnastics
Age 3 - 4
Learn basic motor skills, improve coordination and develop listening skills while being introduced to basic tumbling and gymnastic equipment.  Level 2 is for children who have participated in the program and are 4 years old.  They will build upon various skills taught in Kidnastics 1 and concentrate on better control and form while still having fun.

Tiny Tot Swim
A Parent/Child Class
Age 18 - 36 mos.
Have fun with your child in the water doing activities emphasizing water adjustment and safety.  Child must be 18 mos at the start of the session.  One adult must accompany each child in the water.

Pre-beginner's Swim
A Parent/Child class
Age 3 - 7 (or older if not ready for Children's Swim or is less that 48 inches tall)
Children will become comfortable in the water and have fun with their accompanying adult while learning introductory Red Cross swimming skills such as kicking, arm strokes, breath control and more.  Adults need not be skilled swimmers to participate.

Safety Town
Safety Town is open to Wauwatosa school students who will be entering KR in the fall of 2007.  This safety education program emphasizes traffic, fire and personal safety.

Little Sports Explorer -- A Parent & Child Class
Ages 3 - 6
This parent/child program is designed to introduce your little aspiring athlete to a new sport or game each week.  Using modified sports-related games, focus will be on basic athletic skills, socialization and fun!!
